Hi. I was educated at the University of Maryland and London Film School, and began my media career in England as a post production script writer, working on films by such directors as Robert Altman and Sidney Poitier.

When I returned to my native New Jersey, I formed my video production business as a sideline while I worked as an art director for BASF's flavor and fragrance subsidiary.

Later I worked as an assistant producer for Grey Advertising and as Video Manager for Nabisco. At Nabisco, I created the first coproduction between a corporation and a public broadcasting station, which gained me significant attention among metropolitan New York corporations as a documentary producer.

In 1982, I left Nabisco and reconfigured my business with my lovely wife. Since she was experienced in international banking, she became the President of the firm. Located in midtown Manhattan, we expanded to serve a broader corporate client base, adding animation, print, Internet and foreign translation services.

I continue to break new ground by creating media-based solutions for my clients, including the first American-made situation comedy for Russia and other post-Soviet nations, a Video Memo service and media training for CEOs, and training applications for the Internet.

I am a Contributing Editor of Videography Magazine and Digital Cinema Magazine. I have also lectured at universities in the US and Europe and I'm a popular guest speaker on the trade show circuit.

I always have various designers coming through and interning for me. The reason people intern with me is because they learn while working for me. The list of past interns who are now successful in the media production industy grows year by year, and I can't help but feel a little bit responsible for their successes.

That's why I've written two books, in order to help more than just the few people who intern for me each year. My first book, Desktop Video Studio Bible, is available now through this book and goes through STEP-BY-STEP how to run your own video studio, right out of the comfort of your own home or apartment.

My second book, also published for McGraw-Hill, is called the Digital Animation Bible. This book will assist young animators in starting and building a profitable animation studio, and will be available through this site shortly
